Ken Harris rode 45.587 km in one hour to set a new record in the world master 40-44 age group. Harris broke the previous record, set by Dr. Neal Stansbury in 2003, by about 400 meters.

The event was held in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center velodrome. Harris rode a Cervelo P3C time trial set up with a Zipp 909 disc and a Zipp 808 front wheel.

Harris is from New York City, where he has won many state championships in both road and track bike racing. He is on the New York-based Adler team, and he serves as president of the Century Road Club Association, one of the largest race clubs in the U.S.

See the Valley Preferred Cycling Center web site for more information. Read about Ken Harris breaking the one hour mark on the Century Road Club Association web site. Here is the interview with Ken Harris.
