Eurobike 2008 saw the introduction of many new products across the
biking spectrum. Here are some product change highlights:
- Giro will replace its top-end helmet, the E2, with the Athlon - like
the A2, the Athlon will sport the Roc-Loc 4 fit system and will have
23 cooling vents
- British-owned Charge Bikes has a prototype kids bike with 14" wheels,
distinctive graphics, and weighing in at about half of most current
kids bike models - it will have youth-friendly narrow diameter bars
and hand grips as well as adjustable reach easy-action brake levers,
both features aimed at making biking easier for all size kids
- Exposure Lights introduces the "Redeye" - it is a single LED light
that is super bright and charges off the main Exposure lighting systems,
either handlebar or helmet mount
- About helmets again: Specialized has a brand new trail style helmet
called the "Tactic" - it has the ProFit retention system and includes
a visor setup
- Lezyne now has 6 pump models in its floor pump line, one of which,
the CNC Floor Drive, can manage 220 psi
