Wrap the tinned wire around the barrel of the pin so that it is at right angles to the pin axis. Think about it as the beam projects out from your headlight, the great majority of it bounces off the road or trail and keeps travelling away from you a la the phrase "angle of incidence = angle of reflection". OlyBikes has the following recommendations about lights: Head-mounted lights, assuming that their beams are more perpendicular to the ground, may allow more light to reflect back to your eyes (increasing ground-visibility). Thanks for the review! Riding home later than usual this evening--at dusk--made me think again of getting a headlight. But They believe the useful run time to be exaggerated. On these foggy mornings when They can't tell if drivers can see me through their wet windows, They've been running both the Beamer 3 and Blaze on blinky modes.
