They've earlier had bikes with cantis and/v-types and those invariably eventually grind down the rims, especially in the rear, where grit and silt accumulates most. If that is the case go ahead and get these, you shouldnt be dissappointed. The people at the shop basically told me this was an entry level disc setup and They can't expect much out of them. When buying remember that these are mechanical, and dont expect hydro performance. They already knew these two brakes wern't the best, but can anyone, anyone at all, give me some decent input into the differences between them without going along the lines of '. They'm not sure if these are better than Avid Mechanicals, but they seem to get the job done. (i must admit these forums were a lot more helpful while i was here regulary 3months ago). You can improve mechanical discs to a point with a quality cable setup, but some brakes simply have a better design.
