More product description: The Claras dragged from day one and no matter how much fiddling never worked completely drag free. disc brake rotors get banged around a little bit when you fall. The brake is shot and They can't ride for weeks. The bottom line is that if your good at working on your bike, fairly mechanically inclined, and don't mind the before ride preflight safety inspection, go for it. They climbed up to the top of the trail, did a couple of loops and rode down a long hill with the brakes applied. They took a really, really bad fall over a logpile and landed head first in a rock garden. Ideally, though, you also need to have access to a very good mechanic to set them up properly and maintain them, or be patient and technically minded yourself. After another year of weekends in MI, and nasty winter riding, these brakes simply won't give up.
